EAT:
Piemonte’s Italian Delicatessen
This place is a throwback, located in the heart of Tower District for over 80 years! The shop is simple, straight forward and honest. The deli case has anything and everything you want from a small mom and pop Italian deli – Lasagna, Ravioli, Rigatoni, etc. When we visited we weren’t going straight home, but if we were I think the best thing to do would be to grab some sandwiches for lunch, eat outside and people watch – then take some lasagna home to heat up for dinner. They have a small Italian market as well. We tried the Pastrami and the Turkey Avocado Sandwiches – and they don’t skimp on the meat. The sandwich was seasoned perfectly. Very reasonable prices as well. If you hit up their website before you go, they offer printable couple for $2.50 off your second sandwich.
DRINK:
Tap & Cellar
I am the MOST excited about this place – and it feels like a secret spot, but what a great addition to Fresno
At first it was a little hard to find and when googling the location thought it was an odd place – but it works. It is nestled in an industrial park right by River Park. Given the fact that there are food trucks and live music on the weekend – the location works, with plenty of space for all the fun.
When we visited there were 25 beers on tap from all different breweries – and 16 wines to choose from. I thought this was brilliant, as there is something for everyone. We tried a New England IPA while out of town awhile back and were excited to see one on the menu. I like them because they are a little less bitter – and the Revision “State of Haze” did not disappoint. It is a lighter, more drinkable IPA and I highly recommend it. Next, we had the Belching Beaver “Peanut Butter Milk Stout.” Do not be scared by the color – this dark beer is easy to drink and taste light and sweet! Lastly, we ended with the Modern Times “ICE” which is a German Pilsner and was very cold and refreshing. This is a light, outside, sitting in the sun, kind of beer so grab one and head out to their dog friendly patio.
The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about the beers and seemed to love answering all your beer / wine related questions – so try something new! There are a TON to pick from. Can’t wait to go back and dig into their reasonably prices wines from all over California and pair it with their Charcuterie board. It is definitely going to be on a Friday or Saturday night when they have live music from 8:30pm – 10:30pm. And don’t forget to join their VIP Club to get text messages with deals, coupons and offers. This is an ideal place for a Friday or Saturday if you live in close by neighborhoods Woodward Park or River Park. We hope to see you there soon!
EXPLORE:
Clovis Farmers Market
The year-round Saturday morning Clovis Farmers Market is a great way to check out the revitalization of Old Town Clovis, as there are some great new shops and restaurants worth trying while grabbing your seasonal fresh produce for the week! Living in the central valley there is no excuse but to shop local and this is one of the best places to do it. The market hours for Saturday are 8:00am – 11:30am and it is located in the heart of Old Town on Pollasky between 5th & Bullard. This ideal the ideal place to shop for fresh produce and flowers if you live in close by neighborhoods Buchanan Estates, Harlan Ranch or Quail Lake.

PLAY:
Wild Water Adventure Park
Need a place to cool off while entertaining your kids? Look no further than Wild Water Adventure Park located in Clovis, California – living in Clovis has never been better!
There is something for all ages here. For the thrill seeker, try Drop Zone, where you stand enclosed in a glass capsule and anxiously await a trap door to open let you fall straight down into one of the slides. For the younger kids, there are three separate play areas: Adventure Bay, Buccaneer Landing and Orca Lagoon. You can rent a cabana if you want to camp out for the day with the family and friends and need a place to get out of the sun.
Wild Waters is one of the only water parks to offer recreational fishing. After you play around on the slides for a bit, take a break and catch some fish! The park has three lakes where you can fish for bass, catfish, bluegill and crappie fish. A fishing license is not required.
Hours vary depending on the day so make sure to check out their website. Buy your tickets online to receive a discount. Season passes are probably the best way to go, as buying one pass is the same as three admission tickets, plus you get access to the park 15 minutes early to grab your spot for the day and additional discounts for if you bring a friend or need a locker.
We have spent a lot of time here with family and couldn’t recommend it more!
