Bocca Taqueria
I feel like I don’t want to share this place because I want it all to myself – it is that good. But at the same time, it is new and I want Bocca to be here forever so I need you all to go! Now that we are done with my selfish needs, let’s talk about the food and the lovely owner, Danny. Justin and I went in at an odd time, 3:00pm on a Friday, so there was no one in there, but Danny, the owner who we met when we sat down, said that lunch and late night get crowded. They have only been open for 7 weeks, with their grand opening party this weekend!
We started with two corona’s and a salsa flight. GET THE SALSA FLIGHT. It came with six different salsa’s and a basket of chips. My two favorites were this mole peanut sauce (I have no idea what was in it, but this is the best way I can describe it) and a pumpkin seed salsa. I got the carnitas taco and Justin got the ribeye taco. The tacos came with light toppings so the meat really stood out. Both were so juicy and DELICIOUS. I asked Danny what he recommends for next time and he said that everyone loves the Mulitas. Like I said, Danny was awesome and offered an item on the secret menu! He said it was called a Vampire Taco, which was a big taco where the tortilla was substituted for fried cheese! Usually I am one for leaving a taco a taco, but I could not believe it was not a tortilla and was only cheese – perfect for the low carb dieter. He mentioned two other items on the secret menu – fish tacos and chicken nachos. Lastly, we ordered a side of beans just to try, which would be so boring, but again, they were so good! Just simple, clean and tasted authentic.
I would have paid way more to eat here, but the prices were so cheap! They could definitely raise them and I would still come back. Overall this place is awesome and I would recommend it to anyone that wants good, straightforward, flavorful Mexican food, with a little flair. The vibe here is good, especially with an owner like Danny. He grew up in Fresno and we have to support the Fresno peeps!

Skyline Bar
Ever heard of it? Neither had we, but what a fun dive bar! This place was packed when we went there on a Friday night and the vibe was so fun! The drinks were stiff and the band was rocking. Great place to get on the dance floor with great songs going all night long. What more can you ask for. We also heard that the food is great for bar food, will try it next time and report back – till then, go have some fun and grab a drink here!

Looks like you do not have much time left but you should definitely check out the Moonlight Special – Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad. Take a ride on a historic steam locomotive through the Sierra National Forest! Dinner is served al fresco with a choice of NY steak or BBQ chicken! Train will stop at Lewis Creek Canyon for fun and entertainment featuring live music.
It is something perfect to do with your kids, and even your dog! The fun starts with the BBQ Dinner Train and ends with entertainment and a campfire. Adult are $58.00 and Children are $29.00. Children under 3 and friendly dogs are free!

Bowlero
We recently heard that the Bowlero and remodeled the bowling alley in Clovis off of Shaw, so we went to check it out, and we were impressed with the décor! The look is updated, modern and cool. Seemed like a Lucky Strikes vide. They have different pricing for different times of the week – but overall the price was reasonable, just watch out for the shoe rental fee. We weren’t told about this added price in the beginning and when we went to check out it, the price was different than what they quoted us because of this fee. This is a great place to bring your kids and if you come early, it is cheaper and not crowded at all. For the adults, don’t worry, you have a server that comes to you that will bring you drinks. We will definitely be back with a big group to have some fun!
